City Manager | Amsterdam (June ‘25)

De City Manager is verantwoordelijk voor de operations van alle (nu 3) locaties van Equal in Amsterdam. Dit in de vorm van zelfsturende teams. In elke studio staat een team van teachers, operation assistants (OA’s) en hosts. 

De City Manager is het gezicht van de studio's voor collega’s en zakenpartners. De persoon die alles weet over de locaties, de klanten, het personeel en alle operationele zaken. Je zorgt ervoor dat iedereen zich thuis voelt in de studio en dat alles werkt zoals het moet. 

De City Manager…

• stuurt een groot team van medewerkers aan: hosts, operation assistants (OA’s) en teachers. Gezien de ruime openingstijden en de verschillende loacties werken je medewerkers zelfstandig in zelfsturende teams.
• zorgt voor de werving, on-boarding, training en inroostering van hosts, OA’s en teachers.
• heeft een collega in dezelfde functie in Utrecht. Je werkt nauw samen met deze directe collega van je
• Zit in het MT, naast gezamenlijk wekelijks overleg, zijn er strategische kwartaal-meetings waarin we zaken voor de toekomst bespreken
• rapporteert aan de General Manager (werkzaam in Amsterdam)
• werkt maandag op het hoofdkantoor (Rozengracht-locatie) en gebruikt de overige dagen om de andere studio's te bezoeken en controleren op kwaliteit.
• Is verantwoordelijk dat elke les altijd doorgaat (dat is de kern van ons bedrijf)
• Waarborgt kwaliteit van Equal (kwaliteit van lessen, service bij Front Desk, staat van gebouwen, etc)
• Is algemeen verantwoordelijk voor de studio's in Amsterdam. Onderhoud van gebouw, licht, geluid, infrarood panelen, ventilatie, sanitair, etc (voor veel zaken hebben we hiervoor service-contracten afgesloten)
• Samenwerken met leveranciers: wasserette, schoonmaakteam,  monteurs, etc. 
• Verantwoordelijk voor de administratie van de studio, faciliteiten, e-mail, klantenservice, etc.

Voorbeeld van taken

• Kwartaal-evaluatiegesprek voeren met ons schoonmaakbedrijf
• Lekkage melden bij beheerder. Eventueel nabellen als het je niet snel genoeg gaat
• Een host aansturen op de juiste tone of voice in emails
• Sollicitatiegesprek voeren voor host-positie
• Troubleshooten als geluid/headset/light/infrared heating panels het niet goed doet
• Schedule analyseren, wekelijks checken of bezetting en invulling nog optimaal zijn
• Wekelijkse KPI-cijfers bijhouden (oa #visits, staat van studio, etc)
• Groei-gesprek voeren met één van je medewerkers (sommigen jaarlijks, andere elk kwartaal)
• HR-taken uitvoeren: denk aan maandelijkse verloningen, uren registratie, off-boarding

EIGENSCHAPPEN

• Hands-on mentaliteit
• Nederlandse & Engelse taalvaardigheid is een must, gezien je ook complexe vragen krijgt in het Nederlands in schrift en mondeling.
• Geen 9-5 mentaliteit. Equal Yoga draait immers 364 dagen per jaar van 6u30-22u.
• Goed operationeel overzicht kunnen hebben
• Probleemoplosser, flexibel en open voor veranderingen
• Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en een klantgerichte focus
• Je terugkerende weekend- en avonddiensten reserveren, plus invallen voor hosts
• Altijd vriendelijk

GOED TE WETEN

• Erg hands-on functie. Geen remote werk. 
• Veel op je voeten, not so much a desk job. 
• Werkt regelmatig 's avonds voor kwaliteitscontrole (of bijv invallen voor host). 
• Staat regelmatig ‘Standby’ in het weekend. Op standby dagen ben je bereikbaar voor noodgevallen.
• De functie heeft inhoudelijk niet veel met yoga en pilates te maken, maar je kan er wel veel van de teachers en hun lessen leren. 
• 5 dagen per week beschikbaar (regelmatig ook in het weekend, maar dan bijv op vrijdag vrij).
• Het bewaken van de work-life balans vinden we erg belangrijk, we zijn allemaal toegewijd aan ons werk, maar bewaken ook onze privé situatie!
  

AANBOD

• Salaris tussen €3.200 en €3.500 bruto per maand op basis van 40u per week
• 36u of 40u per week met een 1-jarig contract (5 dagen p/w)
• 26 vakantiedagen per jaar op basis van 40u per week

OMSCHRIJVING EQUAL
Equal biedt in Amsterdam wekelijks ruim 150 lessen van 1 uur aan. Of je nu wilt zweten, nieuwe energie op doen of wilt ontspannen, Equal biedt het allemaal aan. Onze poweryoga, pilates en barre-lessen, middels infra-rood panelen verwarmd tussen de 26 en 36 graden, zijn speciaal ontworpen om de flexibiliteit en kracht te verbeteren. De vaste sequenties dagen zowel beginners als gevorderden uit. Onze deskundige en goed getrainde teachers staan ​​klaar om de studenten te verwelkomen in de studio en ze door elke les te begeleiden.

Please note that we are specifically looking for teachers for our studios in UTRECHT. We require a 200-hour Vinyasa and a minimum of 50 hours of Yin training. Other applications won't be taken into consideration.

• You are available on the weekend (Friday night, Saturday or Sunday). 
• You can help out at the front desk 15 minutes before and after your classes to help your students. 
• You are interested in teaching and following all of our fixed sequences. 
• You take full responsibility for your classes when you need a sub.
• You would like to teach a minimum of 2-4 classes per week.
• You have a KVK license and a Dutch tax number. 

 WHAT WE OFFER

• A class rate between EUR 40-50 excl VAT per class, depending on your experience and flexibility
• We will provide you with a free staff membership

We’re now looking for a Multidisciplinary Teacher based in Amsterdam to join our team. This role is open to teachers who are certified in at least two out of the following three disciplines:

- Yoga

- Barre

- Pilates

Whether you bring a calm energy to the mat or motivate with rhythm and pulse, we’re looking for someone who can guide with clarity, presence, and personality.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You are...

• a certified teacher in at least 2 out of 3 disciplines: yoga, barre, or pilates
• available on the weekend (Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday)
• happy to be at the studio 15 minutes before and after your classes to welcome students and build community
• comfortable following and teaching from set sequences
• someone who takes full ownership of your classes, including arranging your own subs
• willing to teach a minimum of 2 to 4 classes per week
• registered with the KVK license and a valid Dutch tax number
• able to teach at all three Amsterdam locations, and you are based in AMSTERDAM.
